MY STORY
A passion to create, is something I've had since I was young. Whether it was building with lego, playing minecraft, or drawing, creativity has always been an important part of my life.
You don't need to wait until you're older to start your journey. I started taking acting classes when I was about 5 or 6 and haven't stopped since. I've acted in short films and school projects, so I chose HL Drama in school. Acting is not the only thing, music has always been a big part of my life too.
I love to create new things, so I started learning the guitar and using garage band to make my own music, always keeping a balance between my activities and my academics, receiving many student of the month awards and nominations throughout the years.
Physical activity is as important as creativity and academics so I’ve always tried to be physically fit and excelled in sports. As basketball is my favorite sport, I trained In MPAC Sports Basketball Academy and also played for the school and MPAC league matches. However, due to the pandemic, I had to stop my training for a while but still continued exploring my acting and filmmaking skills. With my past experience of interning in an Ad Film as a 2nd assistant in 2019, I got the same role for a social media Ads campaign in 2020,
In 2020 I conceptualized and made a sample Film for an online international Film Festival called FFTG AWARDS, which was selected and was used on their website. In addition, I was offered to be part of the Festival as Judge in the young selection committee.
My work in the past ad films got me the privilege of interning in a leading advertising agency in 2021.
It gave me a whole new perspective on the importance of team work and communication skills for creatives. I was involved in set design, filming adverts, brainstorming ideas for clients, creating presentations, and even being casted in certain adverts.
Three of my films were nominated and one of them got me an award for the festival in 2021. Got listed on IMDb as an Actor and Filmmaker.
My story still continues as I’ve started creating films for social media with a niche of narratives and visual effects using comedy as a genre.
From acting to filmmaking and now to social media work, I will forever be grateful for the experience.
